Since 2011, ShopRite is also the largest retailer of food in Greater Philadelphia, pushing long-dominant Acme Markets to second place and, in 2013, to third place. As of 2011, Wakefern was ranked 17th by sales among all supermarket operators in the United States.

Saved millions in TCO: With its legacy data warehouse running on SAP, the company struggles with scaling up as the business grows. We helped ShopRite migrate its data warehouse and pipelines to Google Cloud and saved millions in its TCO.
Demand forecasting: For a retailer, the ability to forecast demand is crucial to maximizing profit. We developed a model that accurately predicts SKU-level demand for ShopRite 100+ supermarkets and 2000+ convenience stores.
Inventory optimization: With the demand forecasting model running for each store and each SKU, we helped ShopRite optimize inventory movements.
Anomaly detection: With many stores, it is hard to know what’s going on and where to turn attention to. We developed a notifier, which will send out alerts to management on anomalies across our 30+ store metrics.
